About Our FamilyOwners, Ryan and Mandy Mewborn, purchased The Veranda in January of 2018. Ryan and Mandy both grew up in Franklin County and are dedicated to providing the best possible care for each and every resident. They are committed to a family operated community and welcome you and your loved one to be a part of their family.

Manager Sarah Strickland lives locally here in Franklin County. Sarah is married to longtime resident of Carnesville, Scott Strickland. They have a daughter who they enjoy raising in such a small southern town. The Strickland family attends Crossroads Baptist Church. Sarah’s heartfelt mission is to assure The Veranda’s residents are cared for with southern hospitality and care.

Carol Wilson moved to Carnesville in 1969 and has lived here ever since. She started working at The Veranda in 2013. During her time here, she has worked as both day and night shift caregiver and as a cook. She fell in love with the residents and working here. When the opportunity arose to buy The Veranda with her daughter, she jumped at the opportunity. She continues to love The Veranda as much as ever and continues to work in the kitchen as often as she can.
